hello there,

You can call this a modern day scrapbook/portfolio of my work: collections of paintings, sketches, doodles, photography and perhaps some film (when i have time). This will be another creative outlet aside from writing (http://gabdez.blogspot.ca/). This blog will also act as a form of motivation to develop my art and to view my progress later on.

Fairy?

Re-edited photos from the shoot of Chelsea the dancer.

It was when I edited them on apps on my phone that I got the idea for the mirror image on a couple posts back- I personally prefer the one via my phone than the one done on my computer. Also the eerie ones gave me an idea for another shoot. I just need to find away to layer photos like that.

Creativity on the go

Photos from November and December via my phone.

1) shot while on the skytrain heading to a concert
2) brilliant idea by a talent ig'er called topknotknack. It involved having a photo of your bun with any other photo underneath it
3) a November sunset, from another world.
4) steam mystery

"purple clouds of feathers"

A little photo shoot i did of the lovely miss Sarah about a month ago. She was such a good sport doing this on such short of a notice (needed photo's to submit for my portfolio) in addition to wearing shorts in the winter. that's a true canadian right there.
It was a fun little shoot (and fairly quick) shoot, and i plan to do more. hopefully with more time.

GrimmTales: Little Red Cap

Once upon a time there was a dear little girl who was loved by everyone who looked at her, but most of all by her grandmother, and there was nothing that she would not have given to the child.

Once she gave her a little cap of red velvet, which suited her so well that she would never wear anything else; so she was always called 'Little Red- Cap.'

So he walked for a short time by the side of Little Red-Cap, and then he said: ’See, Little Red-Cap, how pretty the flowers are about here–why do you not look round? I believe, too, that you do not hear how sweetly the little birds are singing; you walk gravely along as if you were going to school, while everything else out here in the wood is merry.
Little Red-Cap raised her eyes, and when she saw the sunbeams dancing here and there through the trees, and pretty flowers growing everywhere, she thought: ’Suppose I take grandmother a fresh nosegay; that would please her too. It is so early in the day that I shall still get there in good time’;

and so she ran from the path into the wood to look for flowers.

And whenever she had picked one, she fancied that she saw a still prettier one farther on, and ran after it, and so got deeper and deeper into the wood.

this is the result of my photography series of the story "little Red Cap" by The Brother's Grimm. i have yet to work on the pieces of the wolf. i'm thinking of illustration for it, perhaps? shooting in forests is so wondrous by the way
